syslog-ng Store Box 6.0

 

One Identity is excited to announce a new version of syslog-ng Store Box is now available.

Look what's new in 6.0:

This version consolidates all features of previous releases from the 5.x product line. See the Release Notes for details on enhancements, corrections and improvements. The most important are below among others:

  • Version 6.0 supports the new syslog-ng Store Box Appliance S and M appliances.
  • If you are using a high-availability SSB cluster, then each node provides information about its own status using a specific community.
  • New syslog-ng version
  • Operating system upgrade
  • HDFS destination

Important Notes:

This new release of syslog-ng Store Box requires a new license key: Please obtain the new key before installing the new release. To obtain a new key, please refer to the License Key Upgrade Page: License Key Upgrade

SSB 6.0.0 is supported on the following hardware: SSB T1, SSB T4, SSB T10, syslog-ng Store Box Appliance S, syslog-ng Store Box Appliance M

Removed features:

  • The SQL source has been removed from Log > Sources
  • The SNMP destination has been removed from Log > Destinations
  • If you use SQL Source or SNMP destination features you will have to stay on 5.0.0 and its minor versions.    

SSB 5.0.0 is supported until 04-Dec-2020.

syslog-ng Store Box 5.2.0 is in discontinued support. To determine the current support phase of your product, please refer to the syslog-ng Store Box Life Cycle table.
