When configuring Mapping Rules between multiple connections, are password changes processed transitively?

For example, consider the following scenario:

Three connections are configured: A, B, and C.

• Connection A is mapped to Connection B
• Connection B is mapped to Connection C

Would passwords changed in Connection A be synchronized to Connection C?

Password sync Mappings and Sync Rules are not transitive, meaning that a Mapping and Sync Rule must be configured between ALL connections directly where password syncs are desired.
