"Failed to stat" and "Failed to build" error messages in syslog after enabling Auto profile in Management Console for Unix -
Description
After enabling Auto profile in Management Console for Unix the following messages are appearing in the system log every time the cron job runs:
Dec 23 14:15:00 server1 chgfmon[37933]: [ID 628715 daemon.warning] Failed to stat() file /etc/opt/quest/vas/users.deny, skipping
Dec 23 14:15:00 server1 chgfmon[37933]: [ID 879977 daemon.warning] Failed to build file records for class user-deny
Dec 23 14:15:00 server1 chgfmon[37933]: [ID 879977 daemon.warning] Failed to build file records for class user-maps -
Cause
Product defect: 217427 - MCU Auto profiling fills syslog
Management Console for Unix copies an old version of the chgfmon binary to the client when Auto profile is selected.
Note that the issue has already been fixed in a more recent version of the chgfmon binary that is included with Authentication services.

Resolution
STATUS:
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Management Console for Unix.
WORKAROUND:
Copy a more recent version of the chgfmon binary file to the .quest_autoprofile directory on the client:
# cp /opt/quest/libexec/chgfmon/chgfmon /var/opt/quest/home/questusr/.quest_autoprofile/chgfmon
And make sure that the ownership is the same as the original file:
# chown questusr:questgrp /var/opt/quest/home/questusr/.quest_autoprofile/chgfmon -
