After an upgrade you still see an old vasutil package, for example:
lslpp -l | grep -i vas

vasgp.AIX_5_3.rte 4.0.1.62 COMMITTED Quest Auth Services for Group
vasutil.AIX_5_3.rte 3.3.2.104 COMMITTED Vintela Authentication Service
vasclnt.AIX_5_3.rte 4.0.1.62 COMMITTED Quest Auth Services runtime
vasgp.AIX_5_3.rte 4.0.1.62 COMMITTED Quest Auth Services for Group -
Resolution
The vasutil package is now part of the vasclnt package. The old vasutil package can be removed.
