QAS users cannot login, and restarting vasd and running "/opt/quest/bin/vastool flush" does not solve the problem. Running the ""/opt/quest/bin/vastool status" command shows errors relating to the database file vas_ident.vdb.
The vas_ident.vdb file is hard-locked or corrupt.
WORKAROUND:
mv /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb.mv
cp -p /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb.mv /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb
To check if database locking occurring:
/opt/quest/libexec/vas/sqlite3 /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb "SELECT * FROM domain_sids"
You will get SQL error: database is locked
If locking get this info:
fuser /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/* 2>&1 | tee /tmp/fuser
