Missing daemon user causing potential Safeguard Authentication services performance issues on SLES15 -
Description
Some SLES15 installs do not include a local daemon user.
Safeguard Authentication services will mention the following in the status output for these systems:------------------------------
FAILURE: 625 User account <daemon> doesn't exist
INFO: 631 /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd is owned by <root>, not <daemon> as expected.
------------------------------
We have also noticed a performance issue when vasd is performing a lot of unnecessary lookups for the missing daemon user. -

STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 5.1.1. The latest version of Safeguard Authentication Services can be downloaded here .
WORKAROUND:
Try creating a local daemon user on the server. -
