Random UID Numbers -
Description
When you enable a user for unix access they get a random UID. In the old version the user seemed to get the next available uid from a range of numbers. Is there a way to configure 4.0 to use a range of UIDs and to make it use the next available?

Cause
In QAS 4.0, the new default is userid numbers to be assigned randomly.

Resolution
1. Open the QAS Control Center
2. Click on Preferences | Global Unix Options | Modify Global Unix Options ...
3. Chang the Minimum and Maximum UID and GID numbers to be whatever you wish
4. Under Unique IDs, choose Legacy Search Algorithm and click OK
