How often does QAS update SITE information?
vasd maintains a cache of Active Directory Domain and Kerberos realm information. This cache includes the Active Directory Site membership, the list of available UPN login suffixes, and the preferred Domain Controller for each known domain. This option controls how often this cache is updated, which defaults to a 24 hour interval. Note that the Domain Controller information is only updated when the site membership changes or when a server is detected as unreachable. You may want to decrease the interval in very volatile environments where site and Domain Controller information change frequently. NOTE: This value is read once during vasd start-up. Any changes to this value require you to restart vasd before changes take effect.
realmscache-sync-interval = <integer (minutes)>
Default value: 1440
The following example shows how to update this cache twice a day.
[vasd]
realmscache-sync-interval = 720
If this setting is not set in the /etc/opt/quest/vas/vas.conf it will use the default values to update.
