Management Console for Unix error "There is no Software found to install on the host" for ppc64le platforms -
Description
When trying to install Authentication services on to a ppc64le platform using Management Console for Unix, the following error message appears:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------There is no Software found to install on the hostVerify that there is software available, or check your software path in settings-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However the linux-ppc64le software directory does exist on the Management Console for Unix server and is in the correct path. -
Cause
ppc64le is a newer platform that Management Console for Unix does not yet support -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:Manually install Authentication services by copying the linux-ppc64le software to the host and running install.shSTATUS:Enhancement request 782630 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Management Console for Unix -
