Error: "yp_all - RPC clnt_call (TCP) failure: RPC: 1832-005 Can't decode result." on AIX
Description

Error received when sshing into the AIX host:
"yp_all - RPC clnt_call (TCP) failure: RPC: 1832-005 Can't decode result."
Cause

Once ypbind is running, ssh looks for ssh/tcp in services.byservicename NIS map, whether or not it exists. This generates the diagnostic message from ssh of "yp_all - RPC clnt_call (TCP) failure: RPC: 1832-005 Can't decode result".
Resolution

1. Create an irs.conf file in /etc directory.

2. Edit the irs.conf file to include 'services local'.
