Running /opt/quest/bin/vgptool commands returns errors
/opt/quest/bin/vastool status 109 test runs to detect whether or not VGP is installed on a specific machine by checking if /opt/quest/bin/vgptool -v returns something.
CRITICAL: 109 /opt/quest/bin/vgptool -v failed, OUTPUT: < ld.so.1: vgptool: fatal: libvgputil.so.3: open
CRITICAL: 109 /opt/quest/bin/vgptool -v failed means either VGP is not installed or not the correct version that matches the vasclnt package.
CAUSE 1: VGP did not upgrade due to MCU defect in 2.01.
CAUSE 2: Within MCU the Group Policy package was not selected in the MCU.
CAUSE 3: Install.sh script was not run with proper options so only vasclient was upgraded
CAUSE 4: Only vasclnt was upgraded manually and the vasgp client was not.
RESOLUTION 1:
1 - Manually uninstall vgp with operating system package commands
2- Reinstall correct vgp package
Please note VGP package version must match vasclient package version
STATUS: Defect fixed. Upgrade to MCU 2.5.1 which will upgrade VGP correctly.
RESOLUTION 2:
If you are running an older version of IMU or MCU, upgrade to MCU 2.5.1.
