Cause
The files has beem editted or a copied on a windows based machine adding the windows based line endings for enter.

Resolution
Repair the file using dos2unix command if it's on that system. Something like this.
/usr/bin/dos2unix <path>/<file name>For example:
/usr/bin/dos2unix /tmp/install.sh
