Description
Group policies are not being applied correctly on some machines. The system log shows the following message every 90 minutes when the policy is updated:apply_group_policy: vas_process_execute failed: /opt/quest/bin/vgptool apply, err = 1 -
Cause
A full apply was performed by running the following commands:/opt/quest/bin/vgptool clean/opt/quest/bin/vgptool applyThe following error message was found in the resulting output:CSE: Xlator directory (/opt/quest/libexec/vgp/xlators/Machine) must be owned by root with 700 permissions -
Resolution
Correcting the reported permissions problem resolved this issue.
