Long delays trying to login in MAC OS or OSX when user group policies exist. -
Description
Long delays when trying to login to MAC OS or OSX when user group policies exist. We have found three different group policies that exhibit similar behavior: Printer, Safari and Mobility and Time settings on Mac OSX.
When applying some profiles that require an admin username and password, the following error occurs:

Cause
The reason for the error and the delay in login is that vgptool isn't expected to be prompted for a username, which causes vgptool to hang for a minute until it times out then kills the sub process. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Delete the User group policy causing the slowness.
STATUS:
Enhancement request number 219502 " has been submitted for consideration in a future release.
