In the log files we find parent_loop_body: Network state going down due to unable to establish creds, errorDescription
In the log file on the system, we see the following statement:
vasd[4154]: ExecuteRequest: Dispatcher entering connected state.
vasd[3808]: parent_loop_body: Network state going down due to unable to est ablish creds, error
vasd[4154]: ExecuteRequest: Dispatcher entering disconnected state.
What does the above message mean?
Cause
The vasd process could not contact a domain controller. The could happen due to a network hardware issue, DNS server issue, Domain Controller issue.Resolution
The "Network state going down" means vasd's internal network state ( connected/disconnected ) is being marked as down ( disconnected. )It in no way does anything to the system's network state.1 - Check with your Network team and AD team to ensure DNS Servers and the Domain Controller mentioned in the log is communicating properly.2 - Once the issue is resolved please do a /opt/quest/bin/vastool status command to check the health of QAS on your system. If it still says disconnected mode, please rejoin the server to AD with the vastool join -f command.
