vastool status command reports CRITICAL: 107 /etc/opt/quest/vas/host.keytab does not exist. -
Cause
The /etc/opt/quest/vas/host.keytab does not exist or the permissions are not correct -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Rejoin the machine to your domain.
Below is an example of the command:
/opt/quest/bin/vastool -u <adadmin> join -f <yourdomain.com>
RESOLUTION 2:
Correct the permission of the file:
ls -la /etc/opt/quest/vas/host.keytab
-rw------- 1 root root 2568 Aug 24 12:18 /etc/opt/quest/vas/host.keytab
