turned on lowercase-names = true in vas.conf, made sure that his name was
lowercase:
[root@qmxcpr-ldm1 ~]# vastool nss getpwuid 2000000
gwashington:VAS:2000000:2000000:George
Washington:/export/home/w2k8/gwashington:/usr/local/bin/bash
Logged in as that user and now see the following:
[root@qmxcpr-ldm1 ~]# getent passwd gwashington
gwashington::2000000:2000000:George
Washington:/export/home/w2k8/gwashington:/usr/local/bin/bash
[root@qmxcpr-ldm1 ~]# vastool nss getpwuid 2000000
gwashington::2000000:2000000:George
Washington:/export/home/w2k8/gwashington:/usr/local/bin/bash
Note that it is missing VAS in the password field like in the first command done as root.
Product Defect #23196. This is due, in part, to when a username changes from uppercase to lowercase with the lowercase-names = true setting in place.
