To install AD users and computers (ADUC) and Group Policy management (GPO) MMC extension for SAS to have UNIX options without the full SAS control center installed, there are some specific requirements as follows:

Prerequisites:

1. Please make sure that the AD users and computers (ADUC) and Group Policy management (GPO) MMC are installed
2. Please make sure that the AD users and computers (ADUC) and Group Policy management (GPO) MMC windows are closed

Step 1: Please make sure the prerequisites mentioned above have been performed.

Step 2: Please go to the SAS package and run the SAS control center installer on the Windows machine.

Step 3: Once the installer window comes up, please click "Customize installation options".
 

Step 4: Please select the ADUC and Group Policy extension, and unselect others, Then click ok.
 

 

Step 5: Now accept the  License "terms and conditions" and hit install. 

Step 6: Once the installation is completed, click finish and please check the ADUC and GPO snap-in, and the SAS-specific Unix options will be available while the Control Center is not installed in the computer or server.
