User and group personalities are not found when joining the domain in UPM mode.
In addition to having a user or group unix enabled, the OUs they're placed in must be in the "seealso" attribute for the Unix Personality Container.
When promoting an OU to a Unix personality container, a message will pop up asking if the standard sub-containers should be included for organizational purposes.

These are added automatically to the "Seealso" attribute of the Unix personality container for all users and groups within to be seen by SAS.
However if it's decided to not use these containers and create separate OUs, then the DN (Distinguished name) of the newly created OUs must be added to the Seealso attribute of the main Unix personality container using the attribute editor.
After this all User and group personalities will be seen, in order to check the following commands can be run after a vastool flush:
/opt/quest/bin/vastool list users
/opt/quest/bin/vastool list groups
