When license deployment is only configured in GPO, upgrade does not retrieve new license -
Description
After upgrading SAS if license deployment is only configured in GPO, upgrade does not retrieve new license.
vastool status displays the following messages:
WARNING: 241 No USN entries for users WARNING: 242 No USN entries for groups FAILURE: 702 SAS does not have any valid licenses available. -
Cause
A corrective update is planned for a future SAS release; however, a specific release date has not been confirmed.

Resolution
Running vgptool apply will clear the messages or when the device runs vgptool process eventually the messages will clear out.
Just need to get the file in /etc/opt/quest/vas/.licenses before upgrading to avoid this.
Some valid approaches can be:
- using a customized or automated process ( automated / ansible / etc ) moving the file
- Uploading the license file in SAS Control Center to put in QAC.
