IMU - unable to create local MAC users -
Description
In Quest Identity Manager for Unix web app, on the host tab you go to a MAC machine. Then click on the users tab. Next you click on Add users. You get an error message you need to be root.

Resolution
Enable root account on mac by doing the following:
1 - login to the MAC with the administrator account
2 - go to the terminal app. From the command prompt type this command:
% sudo passwd root Enter Password: Changing password for root New password: Verify password:And set a password for root.3 - In IMU check the box that says Run task as another user (su)4 - type in root and then its password
