Join error: vas_ipc_recv:587 connection bailed during recv (-1 bytes): Connection timed out
Cause

The group-override file was a symlink to an NFS mount'ed file. In a firewalled enviroment. The vasd db handler hung trying to get a lock on the file to read it for md5 sum'ing.
Resolution

Copied the /etc/opt/quest/vas/group-override file from NFS share to local machine.
