Support for Oracle Data Guard High Availability Connection Strings (4382550)

In the Oracle asset a network address must be specified and with Oracle Data Guard a cluster is built at the database level, not on the Linux server level.

For addressing the database, it is ideal (from an Oracle perspective) to use the service name or a connection string rather than specifying the host address directly.

Enhancement Request: SPP to support connecting to Oracle Assets using all the methods that oracle offers for connecting to a database.

Enhancement request # 545637 (Support for Oracle Data Guard High Availability Connection Strings) was created for consideration in a future release of SPP subject to successful QA and product management approval.
