Description
For SPP-initiated RDP sessions using the option to download the .rdp file causes an unknown publisher security warning due to the .rdp file being unsigned.
Is it possible to add the ability to sign RDP files with a trusted certificate in SPP?The intended use case for this feature is to eliminate or appropriately suppress such security warnings in a controlled and security-validated manner, ensuring that the user experience reflects the trust already established by the system. This would allow privileged users to initiate sessions quickly and consistently without encountering prompts that could be misinterpreted as security risks.Operationally, this improvement would streamline privileged access workflows, reduce delays caused by user hesitation or verification of warning messages, and minimize support overhead related to user confusion. It would also reinforce correct security behavior by ensuring that users do not become accustomed to disregarding security warnings in legitimate, controlled an scenarios. -
Cause
RDP files generated by SPP are on the fly & one time use only and currently are unsigned.
