Description
When attempting to join SPS to a domain membership the following error appears:
Error joining domain details='Invalid configuration. Exiting.... Our netbios name can be at most 15 chars long, "SPS-1-COMPANYNAME" is 16 chars long Failed to join domain: The format of the specified computer name is invalid.'

Cause
SPS hostname must be 15 characters max when joining the domain membership -
Resolution
Contact One Identity support to request changing the SPS on demand hostname to 15 characters.
For example: SPS-1-SHORTNAME
