The issue occurs when joining the Privilege Manager for Sudo plug-in host to a policy server, and the pmjoin_plugin command returns the following error message.
*** Verifying plugin status [FAIL]
- ERROR: /etc/sudo.conf configured successfully but sudo plugin non-operational
Resolution # 1
The packages can also be downloaded from sudo.ws website and are known to work.
Workaround # 1
You could also symlink /etc/sudo.conf to /usr/local/etc/sudo.conf (or wherever it's expected to be) as a workaround. Copy will not work as we remove the entry in /etc/sudo.conf if the join fails.
Creating the symlink (ln -s /etc/sudo.conf /usr/local/etc/sudo.conf) prior to running pmjoin_plugin should do the trick.
