CAUSE 1:
Communication issue between the client server and Management Console for Unix server,
CAUSE 2:
There is a missing library on the client server.
RESOLUTION 1:
First check that the client server can communicate with the Management Console for Unix server using the url.
You can run the curl command on the client to check this:
# curl http://mymcuserver.mydomain.com:9080
Change mymcuserver.mydomain.com to the fully qualified domain name for your Management Console for Unix server.
If no errors are returned from teh curl command then the connection was made.
If the command fails then check for any network or firewall issues..
RESOLUTION 2:
The error can be caused by a missing symbolic link for the libnsl.so.1 library.
Check if the symbolic link already exists on the client server:
# ls -l /usr/lib64libnsl.so.1
If this symbolic link does not exist then check which version of libnsl is installed and create the symbolic link to it:
# ls -l /usr/lib64/libnsl.so*
# ln -s /usr/lib64/libnsl.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib64/libnsl.so.1
In the above example libnsl.so.2.0.0 exists on the server.
After creating the symbolic link on the client server, try the Auto profile configuration again from Management console for Unix.
