Long delays on logon time while Please wait message is displayed (4287280)

When Please wait message is shown there is a long delay until desktop is loaded. It happens when there is a policy enabled for data collection feature.

Server configuration for Data Collection looks for server and due to Domain Name Service (DNS) not properly configured, the Privilege Manager Service can't find it.

WORKAROUND:

1. Locate the server where Privilege Manager is installed and the service is configured. For example: “MY_SERVER”.
2. Go to \\MY_SERVER\PASERVER share and locate the PAServerConfig.ini file.
3. Edit the file and modify the DataCollectionURI value from http://MY_SERVER:8003/DataCollection.asmx to http://w.x.y.z:8003/DataCollection.asmx , where w.x.y.z represents the IP address of the server, and replace the server name by its IP address in the URI and save the file.
4. In the Privilege Manager console edit the GPO containing the Data Collection settings, replace the server name by its IP address and save the changes to the GPO.
5. Update GPO in client computers executing a gpupdate /force command and test.
