How to determine what SQL instance is hosting the PAReporting database.
This information is located in a Registry value on the system that the Web Service is installed on.
The Web Service is normally installed on the system that the Management console is installed on.
However, you may verify this information by using the Management console.
Under 'Setup tasks', double click on 'Configure a server'.
The field at the top will list what server that the Web Service is installed on.
Open up the registry on that server using regedit.exe and migrate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ScriptLogic Corporation\Privilege Authority\DataCollection
Then, go to the properties of the 'ConnectionString' value.
In the Data field of the value, locate a section that begins with 'data source'.
The information after it will list what server\instance name is being used to host the PAReporting database.
An example of this is:
'data source =ServerName\SQLInstanceName'.
