Determining if This Hotfix Is NeededThis section describes the issues addressed by this patch. This hotfix should only be applied if you are experiencing the following situation:If you are using Privilege Manager v4.0.3.1 or any v4.0.x.x hotfix and are experiencing the problem described in the "Resolved Issues" section below.
Resolved Issues
The following is a list of issues resolved in this hotfix/patch.Feature Resolved Issue Defect ID Console – Rules Deployment and Rules Detail reports In the Rules Deployment and Rules Detail reports when the New shared filter set icon(green cross) or the Edit filter set icon(pencil) are clicked an error dialog occurs. The error displayed is "Creating new rule - error:Specified cast is not valid". DPM-284 Console – Privilege Application Discovery Scalability issue with PM during Privilege Application Discovery. DPM-292 Trusted Driver Fixed issue caused by the Windows Feb. 14, 2017 deprecation of SHA-1 certificates DPM-422 Console - Logging The PADataCollectionWebSvcLog file grows to an unmanageable size DPM-578 Client Error upgrading client from 4.0.5.1 > 4.1.1.3 on 10 creators update DPM-594 Client Version 4.0.5.1 gives mini driver digital signature error on win 10 creators DPM-595 To install this hotfix:- Install the "PAConsole_Pro.msi" on the computer where the console is installed or desired to be installed. This MSI will automatically upgrade over top of previous installations of the console for versions 4.0.3.x, or any v4.0.X.X hotfix, and below.
- If the "Deploy Client" feature is configured to deploy the client to target machines, then this process will automatically trigger the new PAClient.msi to be pushed out to the configured computers.
- If the "Deploy Client" feature was not used to deploy the client to target machines, then use desired MSI deployment mechanism to push the "PAClient.msi" included in this hotfix out to target computers.
