Error "The element (UserPreferencesReceiveNoNotificationAsApprover,) cannot be removed from list (Properties) of object (user)...." during updating schema of SFDC target system in sync editor (4332608)

When performing an update schema in the Synchronization Editor for the Sales Force Starling connector target system, the action failed with the following error -:

"The element (UserPreferencesReceiveNoNotificationAsApprover,) cannot be removed from list (Properties) of object (user)...."

The current Salesforce connector supports only v.41.0 of Salesforce version.

The attribute, "UserPreferencesReceiveNoNotificationAsApprover", was still not available in v41.0 but introduced only in v46.0

To support an attribute which was introduced in v.46.0, the Salesforce connector should be upgraded to at least v.46.0 of the Salesforce API.

For this an Enhancement Request, ER, has been raised for this implemention, tagged under #313409

WORKAROUND:

Prior to the release of the ER, a workaround can be implemented by adding the attribute “UserPreferencesReceiveNoNotificationsAsApprover” as a custom attribute under User by editing the Schema configuration in the Starling portal. Then try update the schema in the Identity Manager SCIM connector.

RESOLUTION: 

Development has acknowledged that this is requires and Enhancement Request and tagged under ER ID  "313409" and deployment date has been planned tentatively on 14th July 2022 at the time of writing this article.
