The file log4j-1.2.16.jar exists on Syslog-NG PE systems at the following location;
/opt/syslog-ng/lib/syslog-ng/java-modules/log4j-1.2.16.jarCan that be safely deleted? -
Resolution
RESOLUTION:
This is required for the following destinations and they will not work after removal.
- kafka- hdfs- elasticsearch2Deleting this file would be considered a customization and the product would need to be reinstalled to restore it.If deletion is required for any reason it is recommend to backup the file, restart Syslog-NG PE and ensure proper operations continue. If issues arise from the removal of this file Support will recommend restoring the file to its original location.
