How to filter messages by severity or facility. -
Description
The pri number in a syslog message is made up of the Facility number and the Severity number. How, therefore, can messages be filtered by either severity or facility.

Resolution
To separate messages by severity or by facility the priority() and / or facility() filters can be used in a filter statement as described in the “Filters” section in the Admin Guide.
