Can SSB resolve host names locally.
Description

Is it possible for Syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) to resolve host names to ip addresses locally on the SSB by updating the /etc/hosts file.
Cause

By Design
Resolution

SSB does not have this functionality. If the /etc/hosts file is updated, the changes made will revert to their original settings when the appliance (or VM) is rebooted or a commit is made via the web interface.
Resolving hostnames to ip addresses must be done at DNS level.
