Title
SSB cannot be upgraded, because its first installation is too old. -
Description
After uploading the firmware files of Syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) 6 and clicked on "After reboot" the following error is displayed.

Cause
Earlier versions of SSB (< SSB 4) installed with deprecated boot loader and file system which can cause issues on SSB 6.
The upgrade is not permitted for such SSB virtual appliance installations.

Resolution
Resolution 1
Installing SSB 6 on a new VM.
- Export the configuration at Basic Settings | System | Export configuration
- Install SSB 6 on a new virtual machine, but do not configure it yet.
- Turn off the old SSB.
- Import the configuration to the Welcome Wizard
- Press "Finish"

Migrate SSB to a new virtual appliance.
