How to replace the hard drive of SSB or SPS hardware appliances
The hard drives are located behind the faceplate

Remove the 4 screws holding the chassis (2 screws on each side) behind the ears on left and right side

Once the ears are removed, flip the faceplate down or up while being careful not to pull on any of the cables shown below

If you have a zip tie you can loosely connect the faceplate with the chassis ear as seen in the right side of this picture. You cannot separate the faceplate from the chassis too far as there is not much spare cable to stretch. That would be the reason for the zip tie.

On the 4000 systems, you need to unlock the drive sled this way:

The drives in the 3000 systems lock in a different manner. The tab on the drive sled slides to lock

Locate the hard drive that needs to be replaced and remove the white plastic screw that holds the drive in place during transit
