3.1.1 Managing the Cluster Composition

If you are authorized to access workstations of a cluster (see 2.2.1, "Authorizing Users to Access Workstations of the Cluster"), you can attach one or more workstations from an existing cluster to your cluster. The workstation(s) is(are) detached when you release it(them) from your cluster or if another user authenticates on the original cluster.

3.1.1.1 Attaching a Workstation to Your Cluster

Right-click the Advanced Login icon in the notification area and select Manage Cluster.
The Cluster wizard window appears.

Select Manage my cluster and click Next.
The Attach/Detach workstation window appears.
Click the Select button and select a workstation in the list displayed by the wizard.

Click the Finish button.

3.1.1.2. Releasing a Workstation from Your Cluster

Right-click the Advanced Login icon in the notification area and select Manage Cluster.
The Cluster wizard window appears.

Select Manage my cluster and click Next.

Click Finish.

3.1.2 Renaming Your Workstation

The alias of the workstation is not displayed in the audit nor in Quest ESSO Console, only its technical name.
