You are connected to your enterprise network.


The procedures to log on with your mobile device are the same as in Without the network, except that you do not have to enter an OTP. Indeed, once you have scanned the QR code, your are automatically authenticated.

The following schema shows the main steps to enable remote access to computers with QRentry:

The EAM administrator allows a set of users to access remotely their computer(s). When the permission is effective, these users must enroll a computer with QRentry. They can now use their mobile device to access their computer remotely.

IMPORTANT: The mobile device must be connected to the same network as the computer to access it.

This section is intended to EAM administrators. It explains how to configure an Access Point Security Profile to allow users to access remotely their computer(s).

Before starting
  • You have the following administration role:
    • In classic administration mode: Security object administrator.
    • In advanced administration mode, your role must contain the following right: Access point security profile: creation/modification.
  • An Access Point security profile is created.
  • You have allowed users to log on with a mobile device: see Allowing users to log on with a mobile device.
  1. In the EAM console, click the Access Point Security Profile that contains the computers for which you want to enable the remote access using QRentry.
  2. Click the Authentication Manager tab.
  3. Select the Allow remote control on the device check box.
  4. Click Apply.

Before starting
  • QRentry is installed on your mobile device.
  • Your mobile device is enrolled.
  1. If required, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.

The log on screen of the last authenticated user appears.

  1. Click on Other user (or press Esc) to display the welcome screen.
  2. Enter your user name and click Sign-in options to display all the authorized authentication methods:

  1. Click on Telephone or tablet.

The following authentication screen appears:

  1. Click Control remotely this computer.

The following window appears:

  1. From your mobile device, start the QRentry application and scan the displayed QR code.

A confirmation message appears on your mobile device.




  1. Click Exit.

The enrolled computer now appears in the Computers section of QRentry.
