This section is intended to EAM administrators. It explains how to configure a User Security profile to allow users to use QRentry for notes access.

Before starting
  • You have the following administration role:
    • In classic administration mode: Security object administrator.
    • In advanced administration mode, your role must contain the following rights:
      • User Security Profile: creation/modification.
      • Mobile devices: Display mobile details.
      • Mobile devices: Management.
  • You have allowed users to enroll a mobile device: see Allowing users to enroll a mobile device.
Procedure
  1. In the EAM console, select the Security Profile of the users for whom you want to allow the use of QRentry for notes access.
  2. Select and complete the SSO and Notes tab > Personal notes area and click Apply.

Example :

  1. The users associated with the selected User Security Profile can manage notes from their computer and their mobile device.
  2. The users associated with the selected User Security Profile can create up to 32 notes, computer(s) and mobile device(s) combined.

Users can manage personal notes from their computer(s).

Allow personal notes from mobile devices

Users can manage personal notes from their mobile device(s).

Synchronize mobile personal notes with the directory

When personal notes are allowed:

  • From computers: this check box is unavailable.
  • From mobile devices: the personal notes created on the mobile device are automatically synchronized with the directory.
  • From computers and mobile devices: the personal notes created on the mobile device are synchronized and available on the user's computer and vice versa.

Maximum characters for a note

  • Your mobile device is enrolled.

Procedure
  1. From your mobile device, start the QRentry application and tap Notes:

NOTE: If you are authorized and if you have already created notes with Authentication Manager and the configuration has been synchronized, these notes appear in the list.

  1. Tap (Android) or Add a Personal Note (iOS) to create a note.
  2. Enter the Title and Content of your note and tap OK.
  • The note is created and appears in the note list.
  • Next time you open your notes with Authentication Manager or you refresh the configuration, the notes created with QRentry will appear in the note list of Authentication Manager.
  1. To:
  • Edit a note, tap the note.
  • Delete a note:
    • Android: tap .
    • iOS: slide the note to the left and tap .

Procedure
  1. Right-click the Authentication Manager icon located in the notification area and select Manage Personal Notes.

The following window appears:

NOTE: If you are authorized and if you have already created notes with QRentry and the configuration has been synchronized, these notes appear in the list.

  1. Click the Create button.
  2. Enter the Title and content of your note and click OK.

The note is created and appears in the note list.

Next time you start QRentry or you refresh the configuration, the notes created with Authentication Manager will appear in the note list of QRentry.

  • Delete a note, click Delete.
  1. Click Close when you have finished managing your notes.
