Conditions for Viewing

NOTE: The menu items you see depend on the system configuration and your access permissions. For more information about granting entitlements, see the One Identity Manager Web Designer Reference Guide and for configuring components, the One Identity Manager Configuration Guide.

The following table shows which people have access to each of menus. Prerequisite for visibility of individual menus and menu items is that the QER\IT Shop configuration parameter is set. This configuration parameter is set and the IT Shop is available, by default. If the configuration parameter is not set, you can set it in the Designer and then compile the database. For more detailed information, see the One Identity Manager Configuration Guide.

Using the Main Navigation

Using the Menu Bar

The menu bar is displayed horizontally in the upper part of the screen and provides different menus and submenus.

The menus are structured by topic. Each menu corresponds to a topic and holds further menu items, which are respective subtopics.

Opens the named application.

As you have gathered from the above, you can run actions for a specific topic or open views through the menus. For example, you can execute the action Start a new request from the My Requests menu. As opposed to this, for example, you can open the view New call from the Calls menu.

To open a menu

  1. Click on a menu in the menu bar.

    The menu expands to show more menu items.

  2. Select a menu item.

    This normally displays a view containing tiles. Another view is hidden behind each tile, which you can click on to open it.

Making Approval Decisions about Pending Items

One of the way of finding pending items is by selecting the menu Information with in the header. Pending positions are shown as menu items that you can select. A number next to a menu item indicates the number of pending items of that type and that your action is required to deal with them. This might mean, for example, that you must grant or deny approval to pending requests. Pending items are normally, requests, inquiries or attestations.

If there are no pending items to deal with or you have already dealt with them all, the neutral icon is displayed.

To make approval decisions about pending items

  1. Open the Information menu with and select the pending decision you want to deal with.

    This opens a view displaying the pending items.

  2. Perform one of the following tasks.
    1. Grant approval for an item by clicking on .
    2. Deny approval for an item by clicking on .
  3. Perform one of the following tasks.
    1. Continue as in step 2.
    2. Click Next and then Save in the Approvals view.

      The number next to the menu item with the pending item is either decreased or no longer displayed.

Using the Header

There are several buttons available to you in the Web Portal's header bar, which make it easier and simpler to access functions and settings. This following table lists the buttons and explains which functions and settings they call up.

Search.

Use Search to open the Search results view. Here, you can search with different filter settings.

Information without and items pending.

The neutral color means that there are no items pending your approval at the moment.

Pending items in this menu include pending requests, Inquiries, attestations, rule violations and policy violations.

Information with items pending.

The orange colored icon means that you have pending items requiring your attention.

Personal data.

This includes your profile, your processes, white pages and Web Portal log off.

When you select My Profile you switch to the Overview, which displays your personal data along with your memberships, responsibilities and entitlements. You can enter and edit the your contact data settings.

If you mouse over the icon in the profile Overview, a tool tip explains what information you can expect to see on this page.

The My Processes menu item opens the My Processes view.

Use the White Pages item to open the company address book.

My Requests without requests.

The neutral color means that there are no requests for you to deal with.

My Requests with requests.

The orange colored shopping cart means that there are requests you must deal with. The icon takes you to your shopping cart.

Bookmarks.

Here you select bookmarks you have saved previously.

This icon is only shown you have added bookmarks in the Web Portal.

Help.

The Web Portal's Help menu includes online help, support contact, community links, information about connections and products.

Use Help to open the context-sensitive help. The help contains the entire contents of the Web Portal User Guide.

The Connection menu item opens a dialog box with detailed information about your web application connection. The information is divided out on the tabs System users, Permissions groups and Program functions.
