Welcome to Quest One Quick Connect Express for Active Directory

Quest One Quick Connect Express for Active Directory is an option of Quick Connect Sync Engine.

With Quick Connect Express for Active Directory installed, you can connect Quick Connect Sync Engine to Active Directory domains and AD LDS (ADAM) instances to synchronize identity information between these data systems and other systems to which Quick Connect Sync Engine is connected.

Quick Connect Express for Active Directory allows you to perform the following operations on the supported data systems:

  • Provision users
  • Update identity data
  • Deprovision users
  • Synchronize passwords between two Active Directory domains or from a source Active Directory domain to another connected system
  • Synchronize SID history between two Active Directory domains

New in This Release

This release of Quick Connect Express for Active Directory offers the following major new features:

  • Synchronize SID History between two Active Directory Domains. Allows you to synchronize SID history between user objects in two Active Directory domains. For example, you may want to synchronize SID history when migrating users from one Active Directory domain to the other. For instructions on how to synchronize SID history, see Quick Connect Express for Active Directory Quick Start Guide.
  • Silent Installation. Allows you to perform a silent (unattended) installation of Quick Connect Express for Active Directory by running a command at a command prompt. For more information, see the Quick Connect Express for Active Directory Quick Start Guide.
  • Use LDAP Queries to Filter Connection Scope. Allows you to narrow the number of Active Directory or AD LDS (ADAM) objects participating in the connection scope by setting up filter conditions for specific object types. You can select the Active Directory or AD LDS (ADAM) object types for which you want to configure filter conditions, and then use LDAP queries to specify filter conditions where these objects will be included in the connection scope. For more information, see Quick Connect Express for Active Directory Quick Start Guide.
  • Support for Back Link Attributes in Active Directory. Allows you to work with any back link attributes existing in the Active Directory schema.
