Before beginning
A CLI admin user id is required for authentication. If one doesn't already exist on the appliance, it must be created in the '/admin' interface.

The plink and pscp applications will be need to be downloaded from the putty.org site
Uploading the patchOpen a Windows Command Prompt window and change to the directory where your Putty executables are located. Issue the following command:
pscp -scp -i [key file] [path\filename] [cli admin user name]@[host]:[filename]
Example:
pscp.exe -scp -i c:\pathtokeyfile\keyfile.ppk c:\pathtopatch\paa-console-2.5.915.zip cliadmin@192.168.1.1:paa-console-2.5.915.zip
Once the file is upload the command will return "Upload was successful"
Place the appliance in Maintenance Mode:
If the patch is an upgrade patch, TPAM should be placed into maintenance mode. The RunLevel is available in 2.5.908+.
plink -i [keyfile] [userid]@[PAR-address] RunLevel --Action set --RunLevel Maintenance
Example:
plink.exe -i c:\pathtokeyfile\keyfile.ppk cliadmin@192.168.1.1 RunLevel --Action set --RunLevel Maintenance
Executing the patchIssue the following command:
plink.exe -i [key file] [cli admin username]@[host] ApplyPatch --PatchName [filename] --Key [keyfrompatch] --Options [optionsfrompatch]
Example:
plink.exe -i c:\pathtokeyfile\keyfile.ppk cliadmin@192.168.1.1 ApplyPatch --PatchName paa-console-2.5.915.zip --Key ITalOmJSRJ --Options /genkey
Viewing the patch log
Issue the following command:
plink.exe -i [key file] [cli admin username]@[host] ViewLog --patch
Example:
plink.exe -i c:\pathtokeyfile\keyfile.ppk cliadmin@192.168.1.1 ViewLog --patch
Once the file has been installed the log should return "Patch successfully applied to system"
