Is it possible to verify the upgrade packages are not corrupt? Are MD5 hashes available for the upgrade files?
TPAMs uses encrypted patches / hotfixes ZIP files that are not designed to be opened outside of the TPAM appliance. Third party unzipping utilities will show the ZIP file as corrupted.
To validate the downloaded file is not corrupt, a checksum utility can be used.
For example, the Microsoft File Checksum Integrity Verifier is available from

If the downloaded file is genuinely corrupt, and an upgrade is attempted the following error will be shown in the Patch Log:
“Unexpected exception applying installer: Invalid installer (decryption error): pkzip command failed with E150: see log for details”
