On Linux the password change fails with "Authentication token manipulation error " TPAM incorrectly shows success (4319232)

On a "Password Reset", the target sytstem errors, however TPAM incorrectly believes it is a success and update the password it has stored. On a subsequent check, the password does not match with the target.

WORKAROUND

Resolve the issue on the managed system that is causing the "Authentication token manipulation error" message.
