Title
When performing a PSM File transfer to upload a file that has a filename longer than 60 characters, the PSM Upload will return a successful message however the file is not uploaded. -
Description
When performing a PSM Upload of a filename that is longer than 60 characters, the PSM Upload process reports success, however the file it not uploaded to the target server. -
Cause
Filenames with more than 60 characters will not upload correctly. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND: Do not upload files with more than 60 characters (this includes the extension and 'dot', not only the characters to the left of the 'dot')
STATUS: The 'false positive' on the PSM upload that is seen when using filename with more than 60 characters has been addressed via BFER #10084. From the 2.5.920 Release Notes 'resolved Issue' section:
"An attempt of uploading a file with a file name longer than 60 characters during file transfer results in a false positive." BFER 10084
