How is TPAM licensed? What is the licensing model?
TPAM has 3 main licenses:
Privileged Password Management (PPM)/MaxSystems
Licensed on the number of systems. If this is exceeded no more systems can be added. A system is defined as a device that has a unique IP address or unique IP address/port.
Certain systems are excluded from being counted:
- System templates, and systems of platforms "Local Appliance", "DPA", "CacheServer", "Other", "PowerPassword", "PSM ICA Access", and "PSM Web Access" do not count towards licensing.
- PSM-only systems (i.e. when "Disable all PPM functions and delete any existing password history or secure stored files?" is selected on the System | Details tab).
Privileged Session Management (PSM)/MaxSessions
Licensed on the number of concurrent sessions, whether they are live sessions or replays. If this is exceeded no more sessions will be possible.
SPCW (Security Product Client for Windows)/MaxSPCWSystems
Licensed by the number of system that can be added under one of the SPCW platforms.
To view the number of licenses assigned and used, go to the /admin interface: System Status/Settings | License Management.
