Cache appliances are designed to allow users to retrieve a password from the cache appliance as fast as possible but it has no capacity to set the duration which can be done via CLI or API connected to the console appliance.
The password is retrieved immediately from the cache appliance upon request with a successful certificate. This behaviour is by design.
Cache "users" are usually applications which need to programmatically retrieve the password many times per minute. It is not designed to have the same level of logging (release logs, post release resets, and so forth) as Web, CLI, or API users.
If individual password release logging, duration-per-release, and/or post-release reset for the individual password are required then the request needs to be done using the API via TPAM, not cache.
Post release resets are only triggered by retrieving password via web interface or API via TPAM or CLI.
Any changes for a managed account will be synced to the cache.
