In the event of a motherboard battery failure the ‘system board battery’ message is lit up on the front of the console.
CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) is the term usually used to describe the small amount of memory on a computer motherboard that stores the BIOS settings. Some of these BIOS settings include the system time and date as well as hardware settings.
IDRAC logs may show the message:
"The system board battery is low."
"The system board battery is operating normally."
"The system board battery is low."
"The CMOS battery is low"
If the message persists the battery may need to be replaced.
