Defender properties can not be managed via the WI after installing Microsoft Updates (4282081)

Defender properties can not be managed via the WI after installing the July 2018 Security and Quality Rollup updates for .NET Framework. The following error may be displayed when managing Defender properties via the WI:

Error: Can't execute custom entry method Get_defender_userTokenData due following error: "Exception of type 'ActiveRoles.Web.ScriptServices.ScriptServiceException' was thrown."

There is a known issue in several Microsoft .NET updates released in July 2018, including but not limited to the following updates:

WORKAROUND

Please Uninstall the affected .NET updates and restart the Active Roles Web Interface host.

Change Request # 124625 has been created for Defender to address this issue in the next release.
