When starting the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows service error RC 1610 occurs and the service refuses to start.
原因
There is a missing or corrupt configuration for the agent.
解决办法
If using the XML installation of the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows please ensure that the XML configuration is present where it has been designated and that it is not corrupted. Additionally, please ensure proper permissions are set on the XML configuration file to ensure that the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows service can read the XML.
For information on where you have designated the XML location please check the Services section of Windows, find the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows, and view the properties. The startup option will have the location of where the XML is to be located.
If using the Group Policy installation of the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows please ensure that the Group Policy is being pushed correctly and that the host running the agent is receiving the correct settings. Running a resultant set of policies (RSOP) on the host will inform as to whether or not the group policy with the correct settings is being pushed to the host.
NOTE - One Identity does not support the manual changing/editing of the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows XML (exported configuration) file. Please ensure that all changes, updates, and edits to the configuration are handled through the MMC for the Syslog-ng Agent for Windows. Should the XML have any manual updates the environment would be considered in an unsupported configuration and support will be limited. For any questions please contact One Identity support by opening a case through the One Identity online support portal or by engaging with a support administrator via phone.
